Great news for unemployed borrowers as the Department of Housing and Urban Development has extended the unemployed mortgage relief program for the second time around. This is the program that aims to help unemployed borrowers with problems paying their mortgage payments. Home owners that will qualify for the program will receive $50,000 worth of loan without interest and will be payable for two years.     

The government has allocated $1 billion for this program and debut on June and supposedly to end on July 22, 2011. To give home owners enough time to apply for the loan it was first extended until July 27 and recently announced by the Department that they will going to move the deadline up to September 15 of this year.
