Background:
The Grabacr Squadron was a Belkan Squadron that fought during the Belkan War. During the war, Ashley Bernitz, the leader of the squadron, shot down the famous Belkan ace, Colonel Wolfgang Buchner, who was attempting to defect to the allies, as well as the Osean Pilot Jack Bartlett, before he himself was shot down by the Galm Team.

After the Belkan War in 1995, in order to improve relations between the two countries, a new Tactical Fighter Squadron was formed exclusively with former Belkan pilots, known as the 8492nd Squadron. Their existence was never well known by the Osean military, and over time they were for the most part forgotten, failing to appear in Official OADF documents.

During the Circum-Pacific War, the 8492nd began to conduct covert operations for the "Grey Men", the Belkan Extremist group behind the war, posing as an official Osean Squadron. Their activities went seemingly unnoticed by the upper echelons of the Osean Military, as they claimed that there was no 8492nd Squadron. However, on the front, the 8492nd operated freely as an OADF unit, with no one questioning its authenticity.

The 8492nd/Grabacr was composed of Belkan Air Force Die-hard's, who would could not live down the humiliation of being defeated by the Oseans and Yuktobanians during the Belkan War. They were dedicated to avenging their defeat by making each superpower destroy each other.

They started off by covering the kidnapping of the Osean President, then later framed the OADF 108th Wardog Squadron for attacking a Yuktobanian Engineering college. Their operations began to become focus on subverting the Wardog Squadron; disrupting Osean reinforcements in response to a Yuktobanian raid on November City, where the Wardog Squadron was patrolling, then later lead them into a trap over the Vladimir Mountains. After Wardog was deemed traitorous, the 8492nd pursued them to the Solo Islands, however, Capt. Snow of the OFS Kestrel claimed the kill.

Believing Wardog was dead, Grabacr and its Yuktobanian sister squadron, Ofnir, began to help distribute Belkan nuclear weapons to the Oseans and Yuktobanians. However, their operations began to become interfered by a mysterious squadron of black fighter jets, which began to thwart the Grey Men's efforts at every turn. As their tactics closely resembled those of the believed to be dead Wardog Squadron, who had earned the nickname The Demons of Razgriz, they gained the moniker The Ghosts of Ragriz. Grabacr confronted the Ghosts over Northern Yuktobania, but were defeated.

In the end, Grabacr and Ofnir joined together in a last ditch effort to keep the Razgriz from stopping the SOLG from destroying Oured, but they were all killed in the dogfight.
